"SEMANTIC AND RHETORICAL IMAGES OF SURAT AL-GHASHIYAH, AND THE IMPACT OF THE SUCCESSIVE READINGS CONFIRMING ITS MAIN THEMES"

Abstract

The problem:: What are the themes of Surat Al-Ghashiyah, and the semantic and rhetorical impact of the readings?

Objectives: To clarify the semantic and rhetorical impact of the readings; confirming their meanings, and highlighting their themes.

Methodology: I followed the inductive approach by following the readings, then the analytical approach: by analyzing the meanings of the readings, followed by the critical approach: by clarifying the differences between the meanings of the readings, their agreement, and their integration.

Results: The most important of which is that Surat Al-Ghashiyah dealt with four themes: the consequences of the disbelievers, the bliss of the people of Paradise, confirming the principle of freedom of belief, and holding people accountable. A word was read with two or more faces in each theme that indicated the theme from the meanings; indicating the main meanings of the theme, and confirming the main meanings.

Abstract: The successive readings in Surat Al-Ghashiyah confirmed its meanings, and highlighted its themes, and they are consistent and integrated.

Recommendation: It is recommended to research the meanings of the readings and their relationship to the eloquence and interpretation of the Qur’an.
