Abstract

The objective of the study was to assess the extent to which physical education teachers use effective planning skills from the perspective of their supervisors. To achieve the objectives of the study, a questionnaire consisting of 26 items across three domains was created. The sample comprised 64 supervisors, including 24 males and 40 females, representing 73.5% of the study population where statistical analysis was conducted to obtain the results. The findings indicated that the overall degree of utilizing planning skills was moderate, with all domain averages falling into the moderate range, between 3.25 and 3.53. The domains ranked as follows: “Student Knowledge” in first place, “Educational Objectives and Curriculum” in second, and “Supportive Teaching Environment” in third. The results also showed no statistically significant differences at the significance level (α≥ 0.05) related to gender, supervision range, supervision period, or job experience. However, significant differences were found regarding educational qualifications, with bachelor's degree holders showing better results. Key recommendations included the need to consider the results of the study within the supervisory policies of the Ministry of Education.
