Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim of determining the degree to which teaching track and field courses contributes to imparting certain educational and health values to students of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, as well as identifying differences in students' responses based on the variables of gender and place of residence. The researchers used the descriptive survey method due to its suitability for the nature of the study. A questionnaire was used as a data collection tool, consisting of (35) items distributed across five domains. It was administered to a sample of (120) students (79) males and (42) females enrolled in track and field courses for the academic year (2023-2024).To obtain the results, the SPSS statistical analysis system was used. The Results of the Study Revealed that all fields of educational and health Values were rated highly. The moral and Health domains Ranked first, while the Social and Aesthetic Domains ranked second, and the Cognitive domain ranked lowest, Although still with a high rating. The results also showed no statistically significant differences in students' responses based on gender or place of residence across all study domains. The study recommended that all physical education and sports science curricula should focus on and enhance educational and health behavioral values. It also suggested conducting similar studies on different age groups and across all educational stages for both genders.
