Response to Michael Martin's Statements in His Book Atheism: A Philosophical Explanation from an Islamic Perspective

Abstract

This study deals with the atheistic ideas put forward by the American philosopher, Michael Martin, and discusses them with the same rational logic that Michael and those like him claim, as these people think that the people of faith are a group of naive people who repeat what they inherited without contemplation or reason. This is a claim that is contradicted by the Qur’anic texts, the prophetic hadiths, and reality. The researcher is concerned only with the Islamic thoughts and views though the idea of faith is a human idea that is consistent with human nature, but the contents of faith are different in Islam compared with other doctrines. The researcher focused on the basic ideas and suspicions and responded to them through Islamic texts and logical evidence.
