THE ROLE OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION TEACHERS IN REDUCING PUPIL SCHOOL VIOLENCE
Aim: The purpose of this research was to study the role of Physical Education Teachers (PET) in reducing pupil school violence. Methods: The study's population included 2100 tenth-grade pupils from UNRWA schools in the Irbid Governorate - Jordan, sample size reached 510 pupils (260 males and 250 females). The sample was selected randomly and represented 41% of the total study population size. To collect data for the study, the researcher designed a questionnaire with 20 items. The statistical used are arithmetical means, standard deviations, T-test Cronbach's alpha and coefficient Person's correlation. Results: there is a significant effect of (PE) teachers in reducing pupil school violence at UNRWA schools. There are no statistically significant differences in the pupils' estimate arithmetical means of the PE teacher's effect on reducing pupils' school violence at UNRWA schools with respect to (sex) variables. Conclusion: regarding the study results, the researcher recommends the following: The necessity of developing sports activities and programs to reduce pupils' school violence, as well as requesting cooperation and support from PE teachers, is necessary in order to reduce pupils' school violence at UNRWA schools.
